I made the Jericho plunge

Yes I did. I watched Jericho on Friday. Okay, well not exactly Friday, because Speed Racer and I had planned to watch Dr. Who. And I know the Jericho fanatics want us to actually watch it when it's on and not DVR it, but that's what I did. I thought it was pretty good, and I hear it gets better.

And now I have to watch 12 or 13 episodes before next Friday! So sorry to anyone who thinks I am going to cook, clean, or drive them anywhere. Fortunately, First Son has them all on his laptop.

Well Thank you Made for taking the leap of faith. I was amazed - whole family watched it (except baby bro - we'll have to work on him). Even better-1/2 who had said he wasn't interested in anything even remotely suggestive of armogedon.
Now #1 daughter also wanted to see Dr Who...but, since I have called into Shaun O'Mac's Blog talk radio out of Los Vegas for some of his "Talking Jericho episodes", I was able to show #1 the video of Shaun meeting cast of Jericho and be able say I spoken to him...and to him....

Then, because I know Shaun likes Dr Who - I wrote and asked him what he thought #1 should do. So she got a message from Shaun, who had spoken to Skeet, who looks like Johnny Depp - who could ask for anything more? - we recorded Dr. Who.

But, if you DVR'd and watched within 3 days. It counts too. YaY!

Of course, who watches next week will be more telling. Glad that you can watch the episodes between. Did eldest son download them from Itunes? I find the CBS Innertube resolution a little annoying. But, I also watched the first half the 1st season in the span of about a week.

If you decide you like it - I'll invite you to visit when we get the DVD from CBS which we are going to show in a movie theater. We're still waiting on written confirmation that they'll give it to us as we want it before the official release.

Yes...I'm obsessed..but I must get back to work. And I have done something nasty to my back so I am going to have to take a walk before I can sit back down at the computer.

ps. Daughters are off to see HP today (10:15am). Next week the town is having an all day celebration.

Well, now that you have me addicted, it cost me $116.00. I have been watching on First Son's laptop (I-Tunes), hooked up to Speed Racer's HD television. Tonight First Son announced his power adapter thingie was broken. Normally I woud say something like, "well isn't that too bad, I guess you'll have to save up some munny before you buy a new one," but due to my desire to see the rest of the episodes before Friday, I felt compelled to go out and purchase said thingie.
Gotta go...Speed Racer is letting me use his TV to watch one more episode tonight...
and Dr. Who was very good (not the Christmas episode, which had very annoying music, but the first real episode of the new series.)Although we miss Rose.
How did Pookie like the HP movie? And will #1 sequester herself for a marathon read when the book comes out? And do you have a therapist lined up for her?

Sorry about the death of the thingamajiggy. But glad to know you are hooked. If you check out the message boards at jerichorises.com - we have a new thread for "jeriatric boomers", i.e. those who still remember a world without computers.

Pooky loved HP - #1 daughter did not, but that is no suprise. The rest of us need to see it now before they tell us all the things they liked and disliked.

We have ordered 2 copies of Deathly Hallows: one for #1 to sequester herself with and one so that the rest of us can read a few pages too. The hard part will be for #1 not to give away the story. I can't imagine anything affecting her as badly as Sirius dying (? still don't quite believe that) - but who knows what JK has in store for us.

Last night I discovered that itunes was giving away the Jericho Pilot so I got an account and downloaded it - so cool to see it with reasonable resolution. Don't know what better 1/2 will say when he finds out I have an itunes account.

Remember it starts at 8 tomorrow night with the recap episode.

ps. If you would ever consider a chatroom, (which I have never done before) try jeritopia.com. I'm there most evenings. Us jeriatrics met in Heather's Classroom last night.
