A good deal

Third Son sent me an e-mail today. It said, "Can I work out some kind of a deal with you so I can get an iPod?"

I think he thought that I would say something like "yes, sweetie, just take out the garbage for a week and I'll get you an iPod."

I e-mailed him back that I had thought of a good deal -- he could get a job, and then he could buy his own iPod.

So tonight I had to drive him to Arby's so he could fill out an application.

It always ends up with me driving someone somewhere!

Hello MM,
and there it did it again. Only this time it posted the comment before I was ready. It must be getting late.

Surfice (sp??) to say, #1daughter doesn't want an Ipod, she wants to learn to drive and she wants to go on a school trip to Italy next year. She is working on getting a summer job, fulltime babysitting. Should be interesting as she has never babysat before. She is off to a good start though having won hefty monetary prizes for her science fair project this year and on Sat. an award for the best piece of prose submitted to the school literary magazine.

This weekend which was too short to begin with became a little shorter, when because of my Jericho obsession I came home with a 4 dvd set of episodes of a 2003 series called Miracles which happened to star Skeet Ulrich. Better 1/2 and all three kids spent the entire weekend glued to this short lived show Miracles - the only break was when #1 insisted I sit down to watch Pan's Labyrinth with her. I enjoyed it, but I was so tired my eyes kept closing and because it was in Spanish, that meant I missed quite a bit.

Ah well, speaking of tired I should retire..Monday tomorrow.

ps. Pooky sends her greetings. She loves your blog and makes me check it every time I log on .

Hi ccpdppr,
They always want something don't they? That's really cool about your #1. Congrats on those prizes! And travel is (I think) always worth it -- especially if they contribute to the trip.
We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 this weekend. I was a little at a loss because I had missed POC 2. But by the end of the movie, I had it all figured out!
say hi to Pooky!
